Motion: This House Support the Government to Increase the Cigarettes Prices

            The Government’s program to increase the prices of cigarettes causes many responses from the society. Cigarettes are a thing which can make the consumer being addict. As we know, the prices of cigarettes in Indonesia are still cheaper than our neighbor countries likes Australia and Singapore. Many people said that increase the cigarettes prices only will make the cigarettes consumer being get a troubles .But if we see from the different side, actually increase the cigarettes price will give good impacts for all of the peoples. One of the impacts is the expensive cigarettes will decrease the amount of the cigarettes consumer in Indonesia.

            Cigarettes make someone being addicted. It means, someone who has consumed cigarettes for long time will feel difficult to leave their habit to smoking. As we know, cigarettes has bad impact for the people who consume the cigarettes and also for the people around the cigarettes consumer who smoking. Because the smoke from the cigarettes will disturb the respiration ( breathing) system and for long time will cause many dangerous disease such us cancer, heart attack, tumor, kidney, and so on. Beside that it also has bad impacts for the environment aspect. The smoke from the cigarettes will cause pollution especially air pollution. If the government increase the prices of cigarettes it will be many good impacts that we will be get.

Those good impacts, such us:

1.      The mortality because cigarettes will be decreased

Cigarettes contain many dangerous materials, one of them is nicotine. Even though cigarettes are contain only a little bit of nicotine. But if smoking be a habit, it will cause many dangerous diseases and will be end by death. As we know, in Indonesia there are lots of the cigarettes consumer and every years there are also lot of death case that cause by cigarettes.

In Indonesia there are more than 360 millions peoples. And can you imagine? All of Indonesian is smoker? It will be bad for the healthy and of course for the environment. So, if we can increase the prices of cigarettes it means the amount of mortality in Indonesia will be decreased.

2.      The amount of pollution which  can break the environment will be  decreased

The smokes of cigarettes contain many dangerous materials which can cause many bad impacts. One of the impacts will influence the environment. If the environment is bad it will disturb the way people to live. And also the air pollution will make peoples get some disease for example ISPA, a cough, asthma, and so on. So if the government increases the prices of cigarettes the pollution will be decreased.

3.    If the Prices of Cigarettes is increases, the prices of cloves also will be increased

This is good news for the cloves farmer. Because their income will be increased. The reason is one of the ingredients to make a cigarette is cloves. So it has good influenced to the cloves farmer. It will make their life be better than before.

4.   The Cigarette’s Advertisement Are Spread around School

Nowadays many bad advertisements are available around the public places which can be read by the society especially for the teenagers. As we know, the teenagers are still hasn’t the good understanding about what are the advertisement’s goals. If the advertisements are bad, it will suggest them to make the same actions. For example, if the cigarette’s advertisement is spread around the school, the students must be tried to consume the cigarettes. The proof are many students in Indonesia are cigarettes consumer exactly smoker. We are sure, it will determine their study process and also will determine their future.

Actually, there are lots of bad impacts from smoking. Therefore we are totally agreed if the government increase the prices of cigarettes. The way to solve the cigarettes problem is not only the government’s homework. The societies also have to take responsibility to erase the cigarettes consumer and being a healthy people.
