What is nationalism? Do you already make it good on you and for your country?

I'm really sorry that I'm never update my blog since a month ago it was caused by something urgent that I have to fix my study first. But now,I will share you guys a Little information about  how the language can influence the level of the nationalism in Indonesia. But.before all of it,I Just want to remind you to follow me for more information about English.

The Using of  Foreign Language Shows That A Person  Is Not Nationalism

Background:

            Nowadays the development of period brings many changes in all of our life aspects. One of them has influence to our way to do communication with the other people. Every nation has their own language. And every body who be the members of each country must has a felling of nationalism to their own country. Nationalism is a feeling to love and proud to be the members of the nations. Whereas, un nationalism is the antonym from nationalism. Nationalism is indicating by some factors. One of them is achievements in international level. If we want to have achievements in international level or have some relationship with foreigners, it means we have to speak the foreign language fluently at least we know a little bit about the others foreigner language. So we as a team totally DISAGREE to the motion which said that “The Use Of  Foreign Language Shows That A Person is Unnationalism” Our Opinion will be supported by three aspects, those are:

1. Social Aspect

2. Education Aspect

3. Economical Aspect

1.      Social Aspect

The usage of foreign language in Indonesia is very important. If someone has good knowledge about foreign language or fluent with three until five  foreign language, certainly he/she would be someone who has good network in  abroad country not only in our country. In general if we have good knowledge about language, we can be easier to communicate with the other people from the abroad country. If we connect our fluently to speak various foreigner language with nationalism to Indonesia we can get some benefit if we can speak foreigner language fluently. One of them is we can promote and introduce how amazing Indonesian art and culture to the foreigners people. It will help the government, in this case is Tourism Department to increase the amount of tourist especially the tourists from foreign countries. It  also has connectivity to the economy system in Indonesia. It means we also have a nationalism.

   Communication is a good thing to build a relationship to the others people. So, if we have good foreign language, it means we can build good relationship to the others people around the world. In Hindus faith, it also teaches us to has good connecting, has good relationship to the others human being or we know as Pawongan, one of subdivisions from Tri Hita Karana. Beside we can increase our nationalism, by speaking foreign language we can do the Tri Hita Karana.

Besides that, if someone who has good knowledge about foreign language  and we call them as unnationalism person, how about our leader for example, minister, police leader, the leader of Indonesian legislative assembly(DPR),governor, even president have to speak foreigners language to make a relationship to the others leader country. My question is, Do we say that  our president unnationalism? of course not. It means, there are many factors who can be the indicators someone is nationalism. It is not just the people who fluently speak foreign language for example English are unnationalism person.

     So if we conclude all good impacts if we can speak foreign language fluently from the opinion above are:

1. We can be easier to communicate with the foreigners people

2. We can make a good relationship (Pawongan) to the foreigners people

3. To promote and introduce our art and culture to  the foreigners people

4. Ours leader can build connectivity to the others leader country

   Actually, speak the foreign language is important. It not means that someone who fluently to speak the foreign language is unnationalism. Many factors are can be the indicators be nationalism person. There are many ways to proof or love to our country. One of them is achievements. We as the educated student have to has a high nationalism to ours country. It not will be NATO (No Action Talk Only) any more. A little thing we can shows to our country to proof our nationalism such us, avoid the drugs, alcoholic, cigarettes, free sex and the others negative things. Don’t only said yourself is love your country without real implementation. Let’s shows our nationalism with get many achievements both in national level until international level.

2.Education aspect

The language is the ability of the human which is used to do communication with the other people. We also learn some languages at school such as English, Japanese, Indonesia language including our language, it is Bali language. We need to learn it because it makes us be easy to do communication with the other people such as with our friends or the foreigners. By learning the foreign language, we can enrich our knowledge especially in education aspect. We learn foreign languages; it doesn’t mean we are not nationalism. If it means we are not nationalism, why there are some foreign languages in curriculum and we have to learn it at school and why there is a lecture for language at some of universities. Does it mean the people who learn and practice their foreign languages in their daily activities are not nationalism? Besides that, there are many foreigners learn our language even they practice it. Does it mean they are not nationalism to their countries? NO!  We don’t know exactly because the nationalism of the people showed in some different ways. We don’t know, are the people nationalism? It depends on their selves.

Besides that, by learning some foreign languages and always practice it in daily activities will make us be good in speaking. If we good in speaking and we can speak fluently, we can join some competitions about some languages such as speech contest, guiding contest or debate contest. If we speak fluently and know the grammar of the language, it will make us be easy to join it. When we join the competition and get the achievement, it is one of the good things for their selves. If they get the achievement and represent Indonesia to International to join the competition and compete with the other people from the other countries, they also need to speak foreign language because if they speak in Indonesia language, nobody is understood. That’s why we need to speak foreign languages. Represent Indonesia to International is the pride of our country. For example the athletes of Indonesia who had do the competition in abroad country; they also need to speak foreign language. They have made our country, Indonesia is proud. Must we say that they are not nationalism because speak and practice foreign languages?

The language also can make the people be easy to get the jobs especially in abroad country. So, we must be able to speak foreign language at least English because it used commonly in the world. It is not only we learn their language but they also learn our language especially the country of ASEAN. We learn each other because there will be MEA. The people from Indonesia can be a teacher in the other countries to teach Indonesia language but they must be able to speak foreign languages, so they can teach the foreigners. 

3.Economical aspect

            Learn about foreign language not only for making a communication with our friends. But, if we can speak some foreign language well, it can used for some bigger things than it. We know, in Indonesia the growth of tourism sector is good. There are many people has profession in tourism industry. We can use our ability in foreign language to promote our tourism to the other people in abroad country, so it will make the foreigner be easier to get information about tourism object in Indonesia, such as: our culture, tradition, and good places to visit.  So it will make the foreigner know about our country and will more interested to come to our country. When the tourist in our country increase, it will make many people can easier to get job in tourism industry and automatically can increase their income. Besides to promote our tourism, foreign language can use as a modal to get job in tourism industry.

            To confront the global economy, the ability in foreign language is very important. It can make us be easier to do communication with the foreigner in global market. Besides that, we can compete with other people to find a job in abroad country.

            So, we think used foreign language in daily communication is not a wrong action, and it not showing the people look like is not have nationalism. It exactly gives good impact for us. Nationalism feeling must come from our self honesty, and we must do real action to showing our nationalism feeling. Is not certain the people who use Indonesian language have nationalism feeling. We can show our nationalism by other ways, not only use Indonesian language.

1.      We must use the local product not the import product.

There are lot of Indonesian people is more interested to a product from abroad country, they are not aware, if their habit to using the import product like: food, beverage, cloth and so on is making their nationalism decrease. It means, they do not love the local product which actually has good quality and cheaper price than a import product.

2.       Keep our country and love all of our country's symbols.

We have to keep our country well and our country's symbols like national flag, national anthem and so on.

3.      Give a good advice for our children

In the family, parent must give good advice and teach their children to growing their nationalism for example: telling about the history of our country's independence and the struggle of our national heroes make our country become an independence country.

4.      Be a good generation

To be a good generation, we as a student must study well and try to get an achievement even until international level.

Let's showing our nationalism by do real action not only saying about nationalism.

Conclusion:

            Use the foreign language in our daily communication not showing that we are not nationalism. Actually, Know and can practice foreign language well, will give good impact for us. For social, education, and economy. In social life, foreign language can help us to build a good relation with the other people in abroad country. In education, foreign language can support our generation achievement until international level, and in economy aspect, foreign language can help the people to find job and compete in abroad country to confront the global market.
